Built for the Claude Code era

Your AI writes Markdown. LintMD reads it beautifully.

AI tools generate Markdown constantly — specs, READMEs, notes, wikis. LintMD is the native Mac reader built for that world: open a file or a whole folder, browse in the sidebar, and switch between rendered Preview and plain Edit in one keystroke.

macOS 14 or later. Distributed as a signed disk image (.dmg).

What you get

  • Open file or folder

Toolbar, menu, or keyboard shortcuts. Folders build a tree of Markdown files and skip heavy paths like .git and node_modules.

  • Preview & Edit

Clean rendered preview with familiar Markdown styling; monospaced editor sharing the same in-memory buffer. Drag and drop files or folders onto the window.

  • Images & links

Relative images resolve next to the file. External links open in your default browser.

Requirements

macOS 14 or later. Native SwiftUI app optimized for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

Download LintMD

Open the disk image, then drag LintMD.app into your Applications folder. On first open, use Right-click → Open if macOS shows a security prompt for apps downloaded from the web.
